About the class
*** This is a 7-week Late Fall Session. We will gather in-person, once a week. We will hold class on the following dates: 11/04, 11, 18, 25, 12/2, 9, 16 *** Choose this class if you already have basic conversations in Spanish (beyond basic greetings), have some vocabulary, and feel mostly comfortable in present tense. Spanish Cafecito is a 90-minute Spanish class for adults that feels more like a fun gathering than a lesson. 😉 In this interactive Spanish class we will focus on real conversations, useful grammar, and fun readings—nothing dry or textbook-like! This is a relaxed space where you can learn, practice, and build confidence in speaking. Coffee, tea & snacks will be served.
Class Policies & Guidelines
Enrollment Policy Each class depends on a minimum number of enrolled students to run. If a group does not meet the required enrollment, I may need to cancel or postpone that class time. If this happens, students who have already registered will have the following options: – Join another class at the same level (if space permits). – Apply their payment toward private classes. – Keep the payment as credit for a future session. – Receive a full refund.I understand that life can be busy and sometimes you may need to miss a class. Here’s how I support students when that happens: Missed Class Policy Advance Notice – If you know you’ll miss a class, please let me know in advance. Because these are personalized classes, it helps me prepare and adjust for the group. Makeup Classes – If another group at your level is running at a different time, you’re welcome to attend that session as a makeup (space permitting). Alternatively, you can schedule a private online lesson (charged separately) if you’d like a full one-hour class with me. Catch-Up Support – You’ll receive the class materials and homework electronically so you can stay on track. – If no alternate group is available for a makeup class, I offer a 15-minute one-on-one virtual call to review the main topics before the next class. To make the most of this call, please review the materials in advance and write down any questions you’d like to go over. Inclement Weather – In the case of dangerous weather conditions (such as snowstorms or severe weather warnings), classes will be held on Zoom instead of in person. You’ll be notified as early as possible if this change occurs. Light rain or cold weather will not trigger a switch to Zoom. No Zoom Option for Regular Absences – Classes are designed to be in-person, interactive, and community-based. For this reason, Zoom attendance is not available as a substitute for missing a regular class. Refunds – Once the course has started, there are no refunds for missed classes. Each course is planned and structured in advance, and your enrollment helps make it possible to run the class for the whole group. – If a student needs to cancel their attendance before the course begins, their payment can be used as a credit toward a future session or class (space permitting). Consistency Matters – Regular attendance supports both your progress and the flow of the group.
